Come and visit a beautiful area of Monmouthshire and learn a new skill in a cosy, country workshop. Textiles at The Weir is a studio based at a working small holding on the outskirts of Llanddewi Rhydderch, a small village just outside the market town of Abergavenny.

We provide a variety of textile based day courses including hand and machine embroidery, felting, embellishing, fabric painting and printing.

Our courses cater for all abilities from total beginners to the more experienced people looking for new challenges and techniques.

All courses are taught in small groups up to six with lots of opportunities for one-to-one tuition. The aim is for everyone to produce piece of work by the end of the day.

A mixed media approach to colour and shape using autumn leaves as the inspiration.

The day will involve painting and printing, felting, hand and machine stitching, applique and much more.

Bookings

All courses will run from l0am- 4pm with complimentary refreshments throughout the day and lunch will be provided. We are more than happy to cater for any special dietary requirements just let us know your requirements when booking.

The cost of each course is £60 per person, which will include basic material requirements for the activity.
